Italian music is being played above while the delicious aroma of wood fired pizza fills the family friendly business of Il Pizzaiolo. Pictures of Italy are hung around the room and small tables are filled throughout the small bistro. A brick oven is placed behind the counter where these famous pizzas are baked. Fortunately, this cute Italian theme is only a bonus to this amazing authentic restaurant.

Similar to Chipotle, the food is made in front of the customers and made from only local ingredients to make the experience of fresh pizza even better. Not only is it nice to see how they make the pizza, it evinces how clean the restaurant is.

All pizzas are $9 (+tax), and have a wide variety of what the customers are in the mood for. If it isn’t just pizza that the customer desires, salad, fresh Italian gelato and dessert pizzas are also presented on the menu. The pizzas are a good size to share between two people or if you’re really feeling hungry, plenty for one. No matter what the size of the pizza, every penny is worth every bite of Il Pizzaiolos pizzas.

This popular restaurant is placed on Blue Oaks within the Blue Oaks Town Center. Although it’s new to the residents of Rocklin, Il Pizzaiolo started in my home town of Colfax in 2012. Seeing that the restaurant had moved to Rocklin during the beginning of June of this year, a little before the time I had moved to Rocklin, excited me.

Owners Pete and Jacqueline Lostritto are the successful founders of the Il Pizzaiolo in Colfax and managed to keep the astonishing yet fresh taste of the wood fired pizza while expanding for the people of Rocklin to get a taste.
To make the all together experience of this restaurant pretty much perfect, their service is well ran. The workers are always nice and welcoming to the customers. In addition, the pizza is served hot quickly to your table.

Il Pizzaiolo is by far mine as well as my family’s favorite restaurant for a quick, fresh, delicious pizza that fulfills our satisfaction more than any other pizzeria.
