After the Senior Farewell rally, seniors immediately attended the yearbook signing party. The rest of the attendees followed after school. The party, which took place on May 20 in the small amphitheater, was the first opportunity for students to retrieve their yearbooks.

Tickets to the event were $2. Five tables distributed pre-ordered yearbooks by last name in alphabetical order. After students provided their ID to pick up a yearbook, they could exchange the other half of their ticket for pizza, cookies and cupcakes.

“I bought a yearbook because it’s senior year, and my last yearbook. I want to take all the memories with me to college,” Drumi Shah said.

Shah’s favorite aspect of the yearbook is its theme,  More is Our Thing.

“I like the ‘More Than Just a Day at School’ foldouts because they provide a cool 3D effect and recognize the accomplishments of students,” Andrew Duffey said.

A limited supply of extra yearbooks were available for $85 in cash only. If students would like to check if they have ordered a yearbook for this school year, they may contact the front office or check the poster in C-2.

“Having my friends sign [ my yearbook ] keeps their memories alive for me, and reminds me of how great it was to spend freshman year with them. It’s like a memento that I can always keep no matter how far I am,” Janel Vaughn said.

Vaughn, who is moving to Austria for the upcoming school year, wants to preserve the memories she made in her freshman year through the yearbook.

“I’ll still be a wildcat, even though it was for one year,” Vaughn said.
Additional opportunities for students to pick up their yearbooks will begin on May 25 after school and continue on May 26-28 from 7:15 – 7:40 a.m. to 2:40 – 3:15 p.m.
