Sno Cream Is The New Place to Be

Looking for a place to tame your craving for sugar? I suggest you travel down to 6700 Lonetree Blvd, in Rocklin from 3-10 p.m. for a delicious and unique treat. SnoCream is another chain following a trend of shaved snow shops popping up all over the Sacramento area. If you like other shaved snow spots like Vampire Penguin or Shave Monster than i can almost guarantee you will like SnoCream.
Upon arrival the first thing that hits your nose when you walk through the door is the strong aroma of citrus as they use locally grown fruits for all their products. The next thing that caught my attention was the dark lighting and dark blue painted walls that made me feel relaxed and almost like I was at home about to unwind after school.
When walking up to make my order I was overwhelmed by how many different options there were so i ask the cashier Jane what some of her favorites were. She then replied being very cordially asking, “are you more of a chocolate person or do you prefer fruit?” I love chocolate so she suggested an item off the specials menu called, “s’moreos” and then suggested the , “Mangonada,” to my friend Xavier. Overall Jane was very kind and even brought the treats to our table.
The cost of everything was a little bit pricey with a small shaved snow costing $3 and a large costing $5 and the price would continue to grow if you ordered off of the specials menu. Overall the cost for two items off of the specials menu was $13, but it could have been even more because the prices on that menu range from 6 to ten dollars. At first I was a little shaken up wondering how it could cost that much but when Jane gave us the treats I realized that the price was well deserved. The serving sizes were humongous and and they filled the toppings and snow to the brim.
Xavier and I rated the two on a scale from 1 to 10 just based off of overall taste.
First, we tried the Mangonada which was mango snow with watermelons, caramel and chilli powder. When you take your first bite the first thing that hits you the caramel and watermelon which compliment each other wonderfully and the explosiveness of the chilli powder tops of that treat perfectly. We rated it a nine because it was nearly perfect.
Secondly, we tried the S’moreos, which had cookies and cream snow with oreo, chocolate sauce and brownies. It was very sweet with all the different types of chocolate coming together to create a chocolate monster inside your mouth. S’moroes was delicous, but it was too sweet. It needed something salty to counteract the sweetness. We rated it a seven.
SnoCream is a tasty treat to have every once and awhile considering the price range and remember to come with a large appetite.
