“I Am Number Four”

In “I am Number Four” (PG-13 rated 6.5/10). Three of them are dead and and they are coming after him next because he is number four. John Smith (Alex Pettyfer) is constantly on the run with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant) because at any moment the Mogadorians could show up and try to kill him. John never gets too comfortable any place he goes because there is always the chance that he will suddenly have to get up and leave to a brand new place, but when John moves to a small town in Ohio he experiences life changing things. His first love with a girl named Sarah (Dianna Agron) along with finding out that when he was born he was born with extraordinary powers that no one else has.

This movie is aimed toward teenagers and young adults but is great for anyone over the age of 8 because there are some scenes that might be a little bit scary for anyone younger than 8.

This sci-fi action packed thriller runs 109 minutes and lives up to the hype that was made about it on the official website.

From beginning to end there is never a dull moment. For example, when John is trying to keep Sarah safe from guys that are trying to kidnap her, John instinctively fights them all off and saves her. Although some of the special effects are a little bit out there, it is not a reason to be turned away from the movie. There are amazingly smooth transitions between the romantic and action scenes and there is no possible way that you can be bored.

All of the actors were amazing. They molded and connected well into their characters. The ending was what everyone expected, filled with heartfelt emotion but just a couple of surprises.

“I am Number Four” is a movie worth taking out a bit of your day to watch and it will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat the whole way through.
