Sacramento is a city full of fun and wonderful restaurants, ranging from high end extravagant restaurants to your low budget hole in the wall restaurant and everything in between. One fairly unknown restaurant known to high school students and families in Rocklin Tank House barbecue; located of J street across from The Old Spaghetti. As you walk up it is hard to miss their massive smoker grill out side by their outdoor seating area. Not to mention the smell is something you cannot miss. Imagine a nice steak, ribs, prime, rib or chicken being slow roasted all day until you get there and order it.

The menu offers a variety of different foods to make everyone that you take to Tank House happy. Whether one is in the mood for prime rib, ribs, chicken or pork there will be something for any meat-lover to order. However, they also have salads and foods for people who do not like meat. There are also different combinations of foods that are put together and made into a meal. An example being their famous “Dirty Tots”. Dirty Tots are a layering of macaroni and cheese, pork and tater tots and a cheese sauce on top. The meal comes out in a fair sized bowl with the Mac and cheese on the bottom, between the tater tots you will find a nice amount of pork. On the table you choose to sit at you find two different kinds of tater tots one being spicy while the other is pleasantly sweet. With these you can choose to use ether one on any food you choose. Overall you can not go wrong with anything on there menu, it is all amazing and has a savory taste that makes you want more even after you have no more on your plate.

When you walk in the restaurant you see a large bar seating area and spread through the restaurant there are multiple tables no larger than a family of four to sit at. The lighting is low, creating a romantic ambiance for an early date night.  As long as you go early the night it makes for a fun and exciting family dinner or date night. The later it gets, due to its hours being 11:30 .m to 2 a.m, Tank House becomes more bar- like for young adults to go enjoy a fun night with friends.

The restaurant is well lit with people continuously walking around the area so you know you will be safe while your down in Sacramento. Due to its unique location right off the Sacramento  train tracks there are also multiple awesome options for for a nice dessert after a fun dinner with your significant other or you’re family.

The price of everything on the menu is very reasonable for what kind of food you are buying. For the most part for a fun meal you are looking at 10 dollars. If you want something more extravagant like ribs or a steak your meal will cost you a little over 10 dollars.  It all taste amazing and is most definitely worth your money every time . The large portions make it easy to share one meal with two or even giving the opportunity to try multiple meals if you’re amongst friends or family. highly recommend giving Tank House a visit soon due to it’s amazing food and experience due to its differences from your traditional Friday night dinner. Over all, if I was going to rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 I would give them  four. I give them a four because there food is amazing and the service is very good. The only downside I can find is the size and the amount of seating area is slightly small compared to the amount of business they receive
