“Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas” is a must see laugh out loud comedy this season. The movie was released on Dec. 3 and is rated PG-13. The movie runs for 1 hour and 45 minutes and will keep you laughing the whole time. Tyler Perry is back with another hilarious movie about family, understanding and love.

Madea, played by Tyler Perry, and Eileen, played by Anna Marie Horsford, goes to surprise Eileen’s daughter Lacey by going down to Alabama for Christmas. Little does Eileen know that her daughter Lacey, played by Tika Sumpter, is living with a Caucasian man named Conner, played by Eric Lively. The story evolves on how Madea tries to reunite another broken family and how Conner and Lacey must overcome racial stereotypes from the community and Lacey’s mother.

The movie is another one of Tyler Perry’s masterpieces incorporating comedy into a plotline with a lot of drama. Throughout the whole movie the whole theater was filled with laughter and giggles. Tyler Perry never forgets to incorporate Madea’s catch phrases in every movie, such as “Choke that Ho. “The movie was filled with a bunch of funny random scenes that had some racial and sexual content to it. One of the funniest scenes was when Eileen thought Conner’s family was part of the Ku Klux Klan because he was fooling around in bed with a white sheet over his head. What really kept the audience laughing was Madea and Bud, Conner’s father played by Larry the Cable Guy’s, hilarious ad libs here and there.

“Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas” would be considered one of my favorite Madea movies. “Madea’s Witness Protection” which came out last year did not have a very interesting plot or many funny scenes which made me question whether it was a comedy or not. But Perry comes back once again with a really hilarious comedy. My stomach hurt so bad after the movie because I was laughing so much. Though it is rated PG-13 it may be offensive to many people because of many racial and sexual content throughout the movie, such as the Ku Klux Klan. The Madea movies are known for having a lot famous actors in almost every movie such as , Bow Wow in “Madea’s Big Happy Family”, Chad Michael Murray and Eric Lively, Blake Lively’s brother in “Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas” and Shemar Moore in “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”.

I usually agree with IMDB’s critics review section on movies but for “Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas” I would strongly disagree. I would give this movie a 9 or 10, rather than a 3.3 out of ten, for making me laugh for over an hour and for touching on a sensitive topic in a way where people could understand it better.

“Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas” isn’t for everyone, especially if you are uncomfortable with constant sexual and racial content. But this movie is a must see for Madea fans and anyone who is looking for a hilarious comedy to end the 2013 year.
