Season 10 of “The Bachelorette” premiered May 19 on ABC and viewers can already tell it’s going to be a great season.

The show features Andi Dorfman, a 26-year-old district attorney from Atlanta, Georgia. Andi is the first Bachelorette that was not sent home by the Bachelor on her season, the 18th season of The Bachelor, featuring Juan Pablo Galavis. She chose to leave during the ninth week, after Juan Pablo upset her during their overnight date in the fantasy suite.

The season premiere includes Andi meeting the 25 guys and throwing a little cocktail party. It’s the guys’ job to pull Andi aside and get some alone time to impress her before the rose ceremony (eliminations). Most of the guys did a very good job in doing so, but six fell short in impressing Andi.

Thirty three year-old helicopter pilot Emil Schaffroth had no hard feelings as he exited the mansion, wishing Andi nothing but the best. Mike Campanelli was a 29 year-old Bartender and was also a good sport and told Andi that he hoped that she finds what she is looking for. Steven Woolworth was sent back to his snowboard product developing job and was told he was cut for being too “chillaxed,” while attorney Rudie Dane was eliminated for just the opposite, his intensity. Doctor Jason Leep took a different approach to the situationafter being let go. He proceeded in his after-elimination interview to yell profanity proclaiming how embarrassed he was. He claimed that his friends told him to sign up and he was very embarrassed to be leaving on the first night. And the show could not have been as good if there wasn’t some heartfelt moments.

One of the contestants, 31-year-old Explorer Eric Hill was killed April 21 in a paragliding accident. He had already wrapped up filming and host Chris Harrison paid tribute to him in the first couple of minutes of the season premiere. ABC was conflicted on whether to keep his scenes in the show, but decided to do so after talking to Hill’s family. Hill was a local, from Citrus Heights, California, so many Northern California residents took to Twitter to express fried and to also pay condolences.  The Bachelorette comes on every Monday on ABC.

I’ve been watching “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” for a couple of years and this season is already the best out of all of them. Andi is the most down to earth Bachelorette of all of the seasons so far and she is really there for the right reasons. The other Bachelorette gave off a “rich housewife” vibe. Andi has worked very hard to be a successful ADA. You would think the show would be very staged since it’s reality TV, but everything seems so genuine. There has not been any unnecessary drama, and it is my favorite group of guys. The guys are all so smart and talented and really doing things with their lives, and they are in awe of Andi’s beauty, which is really nice to see. Countless contestants tell Andi how happy they were when they found out that she was going to be the Bachelorette. The guys this season are so romantic have already impressed Andi in so many ways. Tune in to ABC to watch “The Bachelorette” every Monday at 8/7c.
