Culinary Club is centered around food, fun and friends.

     The Culinary Club meets weekly at lunch in Mrs. Carissa McCrory’s room, F9. At meetings, the Culinary Club discusses club happenings, fund raising ideas, and the monthly night cook.

     Every third Monday of the month, the Culinary Club gathers for a night cook. The first of this year was on Sept. 21.

     “The night cook was a great experience! I learned how to make a quick dinner that was so easy to make. I loved it all and while there, we all danced and sang to music while cooking,” Jovana Valenzuela said.

     The next night cook is scheduled for Oct. 26 and runs from 6-8 p.m. To participate in the night cook, students must attend the lunch meeting and pay $5 for the food used to cook.

     The Culinary Club is also in the midst of preparing for their trip to France in June. Anyone is able to participate and costs $3,000.

     “I am super excited to meet new people, learn about a whole new culture and eat new foods!” Valenzuela said.

     The club is planning more activities and members are excited about what’s to come.

     “I’m excited about learning to cook a variety of foods from different ethnic backgrounds.” Sam Brunette said.
