Kanye’s Sacramento Saint Pablo show was a failure

If you like rap concerts, Kanye West’s last “Saint Pablo” show in Sacramento would have been a disgrace to you.

In February 2016 Kanye released his most recent album, “Life of Pablo,” which contained 20 songs, and he began going on tour during August.

The Sacramento show was scheduled for Nov. 19 and was an add-on halfway through the tour, so my friends and I jumped on the opportunity to see him perform at the Golden 1 Center.

We paid $107 each for our seats and for over a month it was the only thing we could talk about. We all idolized his music and were huge fans, so the fact he was coming to our city was mind blowing.

When the day finally came it felt unreal. We all had outfits to go with his style and were ready to hear all these songs live that we listen to on our phones on repeat daily.

When we stepped into the Golden 1 Center the only thing on our mind was to get into a merchandise line.

We waited in the line for over an hour and a half to get a cheaply made $65 shirt, but at the time I was not concerned about the material of the shirt because I was breathing the same air as Kanye West.

The concert was supposed to start at 9 p.m. , Kanye came out on stage with Kid Cudi around 10:30. They performed the song “Waves” and some of “Father Stretch My Hands” from his “Life of Pablo” album together.

After Cudi got off the stage Kanye performed his song “Famous.” The songs sounded way more incredible live because he was so into them while singing and sounded much more powerful. It was one of the most amazing moments in my life.

Suddenly, Kanye told them to turn the music off and started going on a furious rant.

Normally at his concerts he goes on some type of rant so we did not think much of it.

However, he sounded extremely mad and was yelling at us like we caused all of his problems. From saying things like Trump is going to make America great again to bashing Jay Z, it was a roller coaster ride.

Everyone was so confused; and we just waited for him to start singing again.

Considering he was on a floating stage, they started moving the stage all the way to the right while he was still ranting.

After 15 minutes of ranting and raving Kanye said, “Get ready to have a field day press because the show’s over” and he drops the mic and runs off the stage.

Everyone in the arena was in shock and thought it had to be a joke. He performed for 30 minutes and 15 of it was spent on ranting. Did he have no respect for any of his fans who wasted their money and time?

A few minutes later the lights came on and they began cleaning up. It felt like a nightmare as everyone was chanting harsh but well deserved words in the arena directed at Kanye.

After the Sacramento show he canceled the rest of his “Saint Pablo” tour and will not be performing any more of it this year.

I refuse to listen to his music as of now because as a person Kanye West is overall selfish and disrespectful. His fans cared about him in such a unique way and to treat us the way he did was absurd.

Any good rap artist should not be compared to Kanye, no one in that industry has such a negative personality. Do not waste your money or your time on anything related to Kanye West, he does not deserve it.
