Dogs are better than cats
It seems a majority of the girls on Tumblr are obsessed with cats. Honestly, I don’t think cats are good for anything but cuddling. I’ve yet to see a cat play fetch and be taken on walks. However you can do these types of things with “man’s best friend”: a dog.
I got my first dog five years ago, a black Labrador named Lucy. If you’ve seen the movie “Marley and Me,” you’ll know exactly my relationship with her. Through the past five years she’s destroyed three pairs of shoes, couch cushions, and more.
I also have a black cat named Morgan, and she hates me. Unlike Lucy, she hates being pet and will sprint away from you when walking her direction. Cats just aren’t as friendly as dogs are. Dogs will greet you every time you come back home, cats just don’t run up to you with a welcoming meow.
Another reason why dogs are clearly better pets than cats is that they are actually awake more than 15 hours a day. If you own a cat you’ll know what I’m saying when they’re asleep more than half the day while dogs can go to sleep and wake up when their owner does.
Why dogs are better is that they have a special bond with their owner, and its a plus that they are intelligent so that they can learn tricks. Dogs are also more obedient than cats and are easier to teach commands to.
Dogs love playing and going places, whether on a walk or to the lake. Cats just sleep while dogs are playful and active.
There’s a reason why dogs are named “man’s best friend” and not cats. Cats aren’t loyal to their owners, they do and go wherever they please. Dog’s have a special bond with their owners that cat’s lack. In short dogs are far better pets than cats because they are not only energetic and playful but loyal.

![On the stage, Daniel Bozinovski and Rachel Treto play their part as Tom and Hannah in the show “The Cast List”. The show was about a group of students who were told about their cast list for the play “Romeo and Juliet.” The Theater I students were in preparation for their first showcase of the year. Students went over their lines during all of their class for the past two months. “[We put in] a lot of rehearsal, practicing lines, making sure you have everything memorized and making sure you are ready to go in and not forget anything,” Nathan Weeks said.
