Thanksgiving may bring to mind turkey, family, football and Black Friday shopping, but it’s also a time for reflection and gratefulness. We wanted to share our thanks toward the school we serve as Whitney High Student Media and all the people within it.

1. I am thankful for our teachers’ patience with students. — Camelia Coffman
2. I am thankful for how friendly our campus is. — Selena Cervantes
3. I am thankful for the great sports program that gets better throughout each year. — Missie Caracut
4. I am thankful for the teachers who go out of their way to help students who are having problems outside of the classroom.  — Sierra Young
5. I am thankful for the pool being heated when it’s 50 degrees outside. — Kristen El Sayegh
6. I am thankful for the push everyone gives each other to do better and challenge each other. — Ariella Appleby
7. I am thankful for all the people that go out of their way to do something nice for others. — Abi Brooks
8. I am thankful for our school’s dedication to sports and school spirit! Having an atmosphere of enthusiasm just brightens my school experience so much! — Joel Timms
9. I am thankful for the leadership program that sets up the amazing dances and rallies. — Lily Jones
10. I am thankful for the countless hours aside from class time that teachers spend grading papers and making lessons. — Desiree Stone
11. I am thankful for the diverse classes our school offers that set students up for a wide range of opportunities and success in life. — Rylea Gillis
12. I’m thankful for being able to come to school in such a positive environment, and be around some of the people I care about most. — Amanda Johnson
13. I am thankful for the family of friends and peers that I’ve built up in my four years through WHSM and around the rest of the campus. Every single day, I get to be around the people I care about, and that’s a huge group. — Carsen Van der Linden
14. I am thankful for the amazing teachers at our school. The ones who are not robots, and the ones who truly understand the work we go through, and want to help us achieve more and become the best we can be. — Rachel Marquardt

17. I am thankful for Ms. [Carissa] Kuehn because she is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. — Miranda Woolley
18. I am thankful for the people I’ve met the past four years; the people who make me feel loved, welcomed and admired. — Harmony Reilly
19. I’m thankful for teachers who are really supportive and make sure you’re on top of your game and are getting good grades. — Maddy Lyman
20. I’m thankful for the cafeteria food because it’s pretty good this year. — Estella Basquez

23. I’m thankful for the people who have helped me seize the day when everything has died. — Christelle Jara
24. I’m thankful for Edline so I can see my grades. — Bella Mora
25. I’m thankful for the odd and even days because it gives us more time to get stuff done. — Haley Ballestin
