Dining at the Curry Bowl Indian restaurant is an amazing culinary experience I recommend to anyone who wants to taste great Indian food. The restaurant is located at  6502 Lonetree Blvd and is open from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Sundays.

When I went with my mom and older brother, we ordered two Garlic Naans $4.90, the Vegetable Samosa $3.95, Butter Chicken $11.95, Chicken Chettinad $11.95 and Chicken Tikka Masala $11.95. We all said the taste of each dish was excellent.

Each dish had a delicious and new taste, texture and look, however the food was just a little over priced due to the rather small portions you get for the price you pay. Each of the three entrees we ordered cost around $12, and wasn’t  even enough food for one person compared to other places that give you portions twice the size for the same cost.

The service wasn’t outstanding, but it wasn’t bad either. The two appetizers we ordered came within five minutes or so, and the three main dishes took no more than 15 minutes to arrive at our table. The server was nice, friendly and helpful, however he was a little hard to understand  since he was soft-spoken and shy.

The restaurant was clean in all aspects ranging from tables to the restrooms. All of the silverware, cups, and dishes were clean, however, the plates you eat off of are cheap plastic plates which I thought was rather strange compared to other restaurants which usually have nicer plates made out of a glass like material.

The restaurant had any normal decor you’d expect at an Indian restaurant such as pictures of dancers on the wall, different Indian greetings on the wall, vases of different sizes and shapes and various metal sculptures of trees and plants hung on the wall. However, another strange thing I noticed at the restaurant was that the paper place mats on all of the tables were Mexican themed rather than Indian-themed.

I must add that if you enjoy eating spicy, flavorful and delicious food, you will love the Curry Bowl.
