The Past in the Present

‘Kingdom Come Deliverance’ is in my opinion fin and challenging a first person role-playing game set in the early 15th century, in the Kingdom of Bohemia, part of the Lands of the Bohemian Crown and the Holy Roman Empire in what is now the Czech Republic. The developers of the game are warehouse studios. Warhorse Studios is a Czech video game developer based in Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded on Aug. 31, 2011 by Daniel Vávra. The game uses the CryEngine, and was designed by Daniel Vávra and Viktor Bocan and published by Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver.

When I played the game it was extremely fun; the controls are difficult at first but easy to remember. You need to block up, down, left, right and in between the way you block is where you attack from; when you block there are two types of blocks: one is a regular one and the other one is a perfect block; when you block  you lose stamina but when you do a perfect block it deflects the enemies weapon and you don’t lose stamina, I found this easy to get use to but it is completely useless when being attacked by more than one enemy.

When playing Kingdom Come I liked how they made the armor and helmets in my opinion there are three categories of armor light, medium, and heavy. Light armor gives you the most movement but the least defense; it consists of fabrics and leather and are weak to swords, arrows, and axes but is really good for protecting against maces. Medium armor makes you slower but gives you more protection, it consists of chain mail and tunics and gives okay protection it’s good at protecting against swords, axes, and maces but not arrows. heavy armor OT gives you the most protection but least movement, it consists of Chain-mail, plate armor, and tunics it is amazing at protecting against swords, axes, arrows but is not good against maces however you don’t encounter many people with maces from my play through of the game; helmets are all really good but they affect an attribute called visibility; if you wear a helmet that only covers your head you can see fine but if you wear a helmet that covers your face it blocks your vision. It does not affect you a lot, but it is a fun detail.

The weapons in Kingdom Come consist of five groups the first and main is swords. The swords have high speed and are good against lightly armored enemies, okay against medium armored enemies, and useless against heavily armored enemies., maces are slow swinging weapons but, do a good amount of damage to medium and heavily armored enemies but not good at lightly armor enemies, axes in my opinion are just garbage. For what they are they do no damage to anything, and are way to slow for what they are I don’t recommend using them. bows are your only ranged weapon and could be the difference between life or death for you from my experience I use my bow when there are enemies running at me from far away and when i’m outnumbered. The final weapon type is polearms/halberds I haven’t used it too much but from what I have done with them I’ve found that they are slow and hit really hard.

When I play Kingdom Come the biggest problem I have is food; you have to eat and sleep in the game, and if you don’t eat you get side effects such as making you weaker or slower which would lead to death. When you run out of energy you will wake up in a random location but your energy will fill up, but this could result in death depending on where you wake up. Food also spoils and if you eat it you will get food poisoning and die.

Kingdom Come is a fun but challenging game when playing for the first time but as you progress it gets easier. In my opinion you should get it and train a lot.
