The Avengers Movie Review

Let’s cut to the chase. “The Avengers” wasn’t a good movie, it was the best Marvel movie ever! The Avengers’ arguments, violence and sneers make the movie really funny, but the action also keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The government agency S.H.I.E.L.D.  tries to harness the Tesseract’s energy, which is a mysterious cube found in the same plane Captain America was found. However, the tests being done to the Tesseracts is brought to Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) attention, Thor’s exiled brother who steals it. In a scramble to get the Tesseract back S.H.I.E.L.D. calls the world’s heroes, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), together to hopefully try to defeat Loki and rescue the Tesseract. The only problem is…no one gets along.

Everyone in the cast make the characters in the movie come to life, the actors are the characters themselves. Robert Downey Jr. acts with the same arrogance and pride fullness as his character Tony Stark/Iron Man. Scarlett Johansson was the best pick for Black Widow. She was tough and cold, but you saw a feminine side to her that seemed vulnerable to her victims and then she would extract all the information she needed. Chris Evans plays Captain America with a certain look and feel like he really understands his character and they are one in the same. Mark Ruffalo was by far the best Bruce Banner ever! He was the perfect for his roll, he did an amazing job making Banner seem geeky and smart but also let him have the sort of don’t mess with me feel. Thor and Hawkeye did a great job of making their characters come to life as well.

The Hulk was really cool looking. even though he was animated they did a good job on the animation making the Hulk seem really real. He didn’t really stand when he was put with the real actors. The aliens invading earth were also really cool looking. The real people and the animated ones really fit well together.

Black Widow did the best stunts ever! She was like a ninja taking out all of her opponents. Hawkeye’s bow and arrow tricks were really cool to. During one of the fighting scenes he shot his arrow behind him and hit his target. There stunts I think were the best out of all the Avengers.

The funniest parts of the movie was where all the Avengers where fighting at the beginning. they made sneers at each other, most of which were coming from Iron Man, that just made you die with laughter.

All the other Marvel movies lead up to “The Avengers.” Iron Man 2 is the first time S.H.I.E.L.D. really comes into play with Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff. Black Widow is an super spy using her powers of manipulation to make her victims feel like she is the victim then they feel they have nothing to lose giving her all of their information without realizing. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) pops up in all of the Marvel movies to pass information to them. Hawkeye/Clint Barton makes his first appearance in “Thor.” But most of all in all of the other movies you see the history of all Avengers, making it easier to understand.

Overall this was THE BEST MOVIE EVER. Go and see for yourself, and stay for the closing credits — they have little scenes to lead you into the next movie.
