X-Factor returns to bring a roar in Wildcat Stadium

It’s here and it’s now. ASB has worked hard to bring the X-Factor back and kicking. According to ASB Officer Kat Nham, the X-Factor committee had to go through a long process to make these games happen.

Working with athletic director Mr. Jason Feuerbach, the committee had to wait for the winter schedules to be released and then went through picking out what games to amp up. After that, they theme the game and pick a giveaway accordingly.

Once the items are ordered, the committee then turns towards marketing, which involves planning out posters and overall bringing publicity to the game which involves morning announcement, hashtags and social media.

While Nham believes the games in the past have been successful overall in her eyes as an ASB Officer and athlete, there is still a goal set.

“Recently an article was released in the Sac Bee about high school sections and our name wasn’t even mentioned. Our goal is to make X-Factor feared throughout our league. No one should want to come and play in Wildcat Stadium because we are not only elite on the court or field but in the stands,” Nham said.

Nham relates to athletes as a varsity basketball player and says having the crowd at the games sends a new kind of rush for players.

“There’s nothing quite like having the faces of your friends and peers there to cheer you on,” Nham said.

And Nham, also being part of the crowd, says there’s nothing quite as fun as screaming and jumping up and down in the stands for your friends.

The X-Factor games are happening Feb. 3 – Feb. 7, and will be promoted on the morning announcements. Proud of the committee’s hard work, Nham believes that every Whitney student should come and experience X-Factor.
