Emerging from the outback, the Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer released their first debut single “She Looks So Perfect” on Feb, 7.

After opening for best-selling boy band One Direction, during their summer tour, 5 Seconds of Summer has widened its fanbase quite quickly. Having a few Eps out definitely made the fans hungry for more. Ep’s are extended plays, they consist more music than a single but not enough to become an full album. So these boys released their single, which will soon be on their upcoming record, which will be produced by their own company Hi or Hey records.

The single and band both have a pop punk feel to it. They have written with band All Time Low, so they are often recognized to having a similar tone. 5 Seconds of Summer consists of Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, and Ashton Irwin. Michael and Luke are both known to play guitar. Hood plays bass guitar and Irwin is the drummer. All four boys participate in vocals.

In the song “She Looks So Perfect” the story behind it is a guy is in love with a girl and they want to runaway to a city together. The whole song is fun to sing along to because you feel like a mini rocker, it still has catchy lyrics and beats but it’s enough to be considered punk.
