On Sept. 4, the varsity football team had its first home game of the season against Enterprise.

In the first half, Enterprise scored first with a touchdown but Hunter Rodrigues came right back with a touchdown of his own. Rodrigues had four passing touchdowns and one running touchdown. After Enterprise’s first score, the defense only allowed one more touchdown while also creating many turnovers.

“We have the momentum. We are playing a lot better on offense which is good. Defense got a great stop so things are going our way,” Coach Alex Anderson said.

In the second half, the trend continued with the team’s offense scoring more touchdowns and defense creating more stops. Justin Kraft had two reception touchdowns in the second half and four on the day to contribute to a 56-14 win.

“I was definitely nervous but excited for the opportunity though to show what I had. Coach Doherty gets us better by conditioning and it really helped,” Kraft said.

This game was also an X-Factor game with the theme as white-out. The first 150 students to enter the game got a special rally towel.

“This is definitely an improvement from last year. I feel like these students are really into the game now because our team is doing really well this season,” Brett Lindsay said.

The next home game is Sept. 11 against Rocklin in the quarry Bowl.
