On Oct. 26, men’s varsity soccer played their last home game of the season against the Antelope Titans. The Wildcats won 1-0 and finished the season with a record of 13-6-3.

In honor of Senior Night, Alex Muir, Nathan Sato, Connor Rodriguez, Matthew Dazey, Jacob Ross and Maurice Plomteaux were presented with gifts before the game by the dance team and parents and younger teammates made speeches. There were six seniors in the ceremony and they all were on the field to start the game

Some players are playing with a mentor or even a brother for the last time. Clayton Sato has played with his brother Nathan Sato for the last two seasons and walked him out when he received his gift from the team.

“I actually hated walking my brother down because [the walk] was so long, but it was fun to be apart of [Senior Night],” Nathan Sato said.

Four underclassmen made varsity this season and got to play with these seniors.

“I will miss Nathan Sato the most because we bonded a lot over this last year of soccer and had fun,” Abaseni Daniel said.

The team is not done playing, though. Varsity has made playoffs and will be placed in the bracket to see who they play in the first round next Tuesday at Whitney.

Maurice Polmteaux said, “My favorite memory was making playoffs in my last year.”
