A mandatory senior class meeting on April 9 regarding senior ball and other senior activities were discussed, along with community service hours.

Led by Mr. Travis Mougeotte, the meeting took place in the small gym at intervention.

Senior Ball will take place May 14 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with the theme of  Traveling to New Heights.

Tickets will be on sale from April 19-22 at lunch and after school only. They will cost $65 with an ASB card, $65 without and $75 for guests. Signed permission slips are required, along with a parent signature if the student is younger than 18. Both cash and checks will be accepted, and all detentions must be cleared on the day that the ticket is purchased. Guest passes and permission slips are available on the school website.

Chicken, penne pasta with mixed vegetables, bell pepper sauce, mashed potatoes and a variety of salads will be served along with brownies and a choice of chocolate or vanilla ice cream for dessert.

The dress code for girls is no two-pieces, low-cut dresses, excessively high slits or low backs. For boys, a tuxedo, tie and dress shoes are mandatory.

Among the various senior class events soon to take place, Steven Kulak is looking forward to senior ball.

“It’s a new experience, and it sounds super interesting and fun with the level of effort and dedication that is put into the quality of the dance,” Kulak said.

An email regarding senior activities has been sent home to both the students and their parents.

The next class meeting will take place on April 26 and will cover graduation announcements as well as caps and gowns. Community service hours will also be due on the same day. Students who do not attend will not be signed up for a graduation row.

Senior class shirt pre-orders begin on Tuesday at the student store for $15, and students must bring their ID card.
