In Mr. Bret Hunter’s BITA II class, Sam Thawley and Mekhi Walker gather tools in order to begin smoothing out the edges of the sneeze guards Oct. 9. The BITA program worked on making “Sneeze Guards” that would prevent the spread of COVID-19 while providing a clear barrier that can be used to safely interact with others. The design was made in a collaborative approach with the Rocklin District Operations and the BITA students. “I was trying to find the deburring tool to remove all the burrs from the sneeze guard. The tools crib is usually very organized so it is easy to find the tools we need, but comparing the tools makes it hard because it makes you doubt as to which one to choose,” Walker said.
