Selling raffle tickets, posting on social media and handing out flyers are all ways the men’s golf team has been promoting their event over the past month. The men’s golf program needs more funds to go on a trip to Monterey next February to play a new opponent.

“We are a really young team and so the kids want to travel and take on some different opponents that are really good,” Coach Jesus Armas said.

To raise money for their trip, Armas decided to try the Dine and Drive Fundraiser. The event will take place April 30 from 5-8 p.m. at Top Golf. At the event, participants can play three hours of golf and have access to an all-you-can-eat buffet. Prizes will be given to the top scoring attendees of the night. Another opportunity to win a prize is during the raffle. Golfers are selling tickets for $5 each or five for $20.

Armas was inspired to put on this fundraiser after Mrs. Jennifer Armas, did it with the women’s basketball program.

“My wife is a coach for the women’s JV basketball team and they ran this fundraiser and had a lot of success. We figured since we are a golf team, it should come natural to us,” Armas said.

Varsity golfer Jack Brock will be attending the event and said he hopes people will come out to support the team.

“People should attend for a fun night out and because it will help our golf team travel next year. It is important because I think it will make our program more fun, and travelling will make us a lot better at playing,” Brock said.

Golfers are selling tickets at school and are also available online at https://t.co/0JQKVTl5pP. An individual, all-inclusive ticket costs $100 and regular tickets cost $50.
