Q: What has your committee been doing to prepare Homecoming?

A: We’ve been working on powder puff football, games for the rally, the script for the rally, royalty nominations and the spirit dress-up days for the week of Homecoming.

Q: What is the theme for Homecoming and how did you guys come up with it?

A: The theme this year is Haunted Homecoming, and we came up with that name because it’s in October, so we thought it would be fun to have it relate to Halloween at the end of the month.

Q: What should students expect to see at this dance, and how will it be different from previous dances?

A: So at this dance there is going to be a coat check for the first 30 minutes, and then the dance actually starts at 7:30 p.m. which is later than other years. They’re going to incorporate a lot of the haunted ideas into the dance.

Q: How can students buy tickets to the dance?

A: You can buy tickets the week of Homecoming at the student store and you can also buy them at the door. Prices are $10 with ASB, $15 without ASB, $20 for a guest and $20 at the door.

Q: What is your personal favorite thing planned for Homecoming?

A: Each task is split up in our committee, so Neissa Hugiera and I have been working on royalty. We have put together the forms, along with putting together goody bags, buying the crowns for them, and everything like that.

Q: What other events are being tied into the week of Homecoming that students will be able to participate in?

A: During each spirit day there is going to be an LTA and there will be a game going with the day. I know on Wednesday in the cafeteria they will be playing the Halloween movie, “Monster House”, and on one of the days they are going to play a spooky game so it all ties into the haunted theme. The dress up days will be; pajama day on Tuesday, black out on Wednesday, Halloween costumes on Thursday, and Friday is a maroon out. Students will also be able to come out to the Homecoming rally on Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. along with the powder puff football games which will be on Monday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and 5-6 p.m.
