Athletic Signing Day honors record number of senior athletes
Twelve senior athletes took part in a special ceremony March 20 for Athletic Signing Day to recognize signing letters of intent to play collegiate sports. The special program, coordinated by Athletic Director Mr. Jason Feuerbach, took place in the library from 11:15-12:45 and featured athletes, coaches and family members for a ceremony, photos and lunch.
“We expect this to be the biggest class in Whitney history with 16 overall student athletes that will go to a four-year school to play a collegiate sport,” Feuerbach said.
The following athletes were recognized:
Makenna Parenti said, “A lot of stress was taken off [when I signed] … the decision is made. I felt really happy that I got to represent that school.”
