PRACTICE PAYS OFF. Gavin Fortenberry (left), Daniel Kumpf (center), and Elijah Millington (right) rehearse their songs before their performance at Cuyamaca College on April 21. Fortenberry, Kumpf, and Millington play trumpet in the jazz band. The jazz band received an average score of 90 out of 100 from the judges and finished in second place among others in their category.
